When is the best time to reach out if I'm thinking about a starting a project?

It’s never too early to reach out! The more time we have to discuss your vision, plan the design and source materials, the better. That way, we can ensure every detail is thought through and considered, leaving no stones unturned. Ideally, we recommend reaching out at least 4 to 6 months before you plan to start your project.

What do I need to get started?

The first step is to book a discovery call using the button below. Once we receive your completed form, we’ll contact you to schedule a phone meeting to discuss your needs, go over our process, fee structure and answer any questions you might have before booking the initial consultation.

How long does the design process take from start to finish?

The design process typically takes between 6 weeks to 6 months, depending on the scope and complexity of the project.

How involved do I need to be during the design process?

You’ll be involved at key decision points, such as reviewing the concept and budget, finalizing the materials and fixture selections and finalizing the design, but my goal is to handle all the heavy lifting behind the scenes, so you can enjoy the process without the stress.

If you choose to proceed with the implementation phase, we will be overseeing construction and making sure that the design is executed by the trades, but you’ll be kept in the loop of what is happening on site with weekly updates, unless something requires your immediate attention.

Can you travel for a project outside of Ottawa and Montreal?

Absolutely!

Design services are available in Canada and in the U.S. However, implementation is currently only offered locally (Ottawa-Gatineau). Costs associated with out-of-town travel and plans for site visits will be indicated in your proposal, after our initial consultation. Please note that if you are located outside of the Greater Ottawa Area or Greater Montreal Area, the initial consultation may be conducted virtually.

How do you handle budgeting and sourcing materials?

During the consultation, we will have a first conversation about your budget. If you choose to move forward with the design services, we will also have a preliminary budget and concept meeting, where we will review the estimated costs and make sure we are still aligned in that regard.

We will work within our agreed upon budget to source premium fixtures, materials and finishes, ensuring you get the best quality within your price range. We also provide transparent cost estimates and keep you informed throughout the process.

Can you work with my existing contractor or do you provide recommendations?

If you choose to proceed with the implementation, we can work with your existing contractors or recommend trusted professionals to ensure everything goes smoothly. We’ll coordinate with everyone to ensure a cohesive process.

If you chose to go with the design services only, we will ensure that the final design package includes all the information your trades need to execute the design flawlessly.

Do you offer decorating services?

At this moment, we do not offer decorating services on their own. However, depending on the project, we may be able to include sourcing of some furnishings, drapery and accessories in your design package.
